ITU Nano-Science & Nano-Engineering


It is very critical to run an interdisciplinary program in Nanotechnology and Nanoscience since the field becomes a criterion for measuring the development of the country. Thus, it is needed to strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation for our country in the Nanoscience and Nanotechnology field to capture international standards and be able to follow developments in the world. In this context, the launch of ITU Nanoscience & NanoEngineering Graduate Program will be an important contribution in training young scientists and investigators in our country we need and experts will be trained to root nanotechnology in our country and to contribute to the economy.

Proposed program is interdisciplinary in nature, these programs will give graduates that are more suitable for nano-related research institutions. Therefore, attenuation of other sections are not in question. There is not a program and a section in our university in this area. ITU's entire manpower and facilities will be conducted to mobilize this program successfully. Existing infrastructure facilities (lectures in different sections, classrooms and lab facilities in particular) will be used while this program is being made to the organization and preparation.

Scope of Proposed MSc Programme and Relevant Disciplines the concept of nanotechnology may be sub-divided into Energy-Biotechnology-Materials Science-Engineering applications. For obtaining a graduate degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.), the total number of courses is 8, and credits is 24. Further information can be found at
