Engineering Applications; Development of advanced biopolymer systems for environmentally friendly material applications (construction, packaging, cushioning, thermal and acoustic insulation, etc.) and biomedical purposes (biosensors, scaffolds, tissue engineering, etc.). Development of polymer and (nano) composite-based lightweight multi-functional structures for applications such as packaging, construction, automotive, aerospace, electrical devices, energy conversion/storage, electromagnetic pollution control, and structural health monitoring.
